The Orthodox Church is the original Christian Church, the central trunk from which all other forms of Christianity have departed. Our faith has been handed down unchanged by the Apostles' successors in every generation to the present day. It is a living, experiential faith, and we warmly invite visitors to "come and see" and experience this life in Christ.
Our parish in Swansea serves Orthodox Christians of many nationalities throughout South Wales. Services are celebrated predominantly in English, Greek, and a little Welsh. We are part of the Archdiocese of Thyateira and Great Britain under the Patriarchate of Constantinople.

Under the blessings of Archbishop Nikitas and Bishop Iakovos, our priest is Protopresbyter Father Anastasios Salapatas of Ss Peter and Paul in Bristol. This is the priest who started this community 35 years ago. He serves the Divine Liturgy in St Mary’s Minster once a month on a Saturday. Please refer to the calendar below.
